Sexy is a state of mind, its confidence at it’s highest level, it’s a perception and is subjective. Sexy is not a look but an attitude and quite frankly, it has very little to do with sex or sexuality. While a person may be beautiful or handsome, they may not be sexy, consequently a sexy person may not be the most beautiful. In one of her most popular poems Phenomenal Woman, Maya Angelou interpreted like this,

 

Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.

I’m not cute or built to suit a fashion model’s size   

But when I start to tell them,

They think I’m telling lies.

I say,

It’s in the reach of my arms,

The span of my hips,   

The stride of my step,   

The curl of my lips.   

I’m a woman

Phenomenally.

Phenomenal woman,

I walk into a room

So, how does one increase their sexy status you ask??? Well first of all Sexy has a purpose, an intent. It proceeds you and goes before you. Wanting to be Sexy is half the battle in getting there. The good news is, what sexy is for one may not be for the other.

Sexy is an individually wrapped packaged good

There is a certain level of humor, wit and cleverness that embodies a sexy spirit and with that comes a lightness and carefree edge that invites sexy into the atmosphere. Sexy is positioned for greatness and there is an automatic presumption of VIP status with an “I’d rather be in coach” attitude. Sexy is not anxious nor is it complex, it is not noisy nor boastful but it is fun and exciting, dearing and courageous.

Lips licked and pouted, eyes wide, head tilted to the side. Shoulders back, chin up tummy tucked with an ever so angelic exhale. While inside thinking “I feel great, I look great”.  That’s probably close to the verbal look of Sexy.  When sexy knocks the door opens, when sexy applies, it is accepted and when sexy calls it is answered. If your desire is to increase your sexy status just look at this as your first step and know that you are closer than you think. Accept who you are and keep praising yourself for being you!
